Scholastic Apptitude Test ("SAT")

The SAT Reasoning Test (formerly the SAT Test) is a standardized test for college admissions in the United States.

To register for the SAT test, a student can either complete a registration packet, which can be found in the high school guidance office, or register on-line at www.collegeboard.com.

To register for the ACT test, a student can either complete a registration packet, which can be found in the high school guidance office, or register on-line at www.act.org/aap/.

 

 

American College Testing ("ACT")

 

The ACT® test assesses high school students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work.

  • The multiple-choice tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science.
  • The Writing Test, which is optional, measures skill in planning and writing a short essay.

The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test ("PSAT/NMSQT") will be administered to all interested sophomores and juniors.  All students are encouraged to take the test to gain valuable information for post-high school planning.

 

The test will be administered at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the high school.  The cost is $14.50.  Students wishing to take the test must register in the guidance office no later than Friday, October 12, 2012.
