Box Tops for Education

Our Yorkshire students have been having a lot of fun in recent weeks, collecting Box Tops for Education. In total, 4,103 Box Tops were collected, equating to $410.30 for Yorkshire Elementary School! The students participated in a contest to vote for their favorite of three songs by turning in Box Tops. The winning song was played to much fanfare.

But the fun isn't over! Please be sure to CONTINUE saving up those Box Tops. We've gotten started in a big way, so let's keep up the great work. Don't forget to check packages while cooking or shopping over the Thanksgiving and Winter Holidays!

Bee Hive Reward

Mrs. Waltemyer's kindergarten students recently cleared their class Bee Hive.

When this happens, classes enjoy a reward day, which differs from class-to-class. Mrs. Waltemyer's students read the book, Bee-bim Bop! by Linda Sue Park.

(Bi Bim Bop is a traditional Korean dish.)

Students learned to use chopsticks as they enjoyed a yummy Asian snack!
