York County Alliance for Learning (YCAL) offers Career Exploration Programs in twenty-five career areas for high school students in grades ten, eleven, and twelve. Students can participate in one or more programs.

Some of the programs are one- or two-day events where a student misses a day of school while other programs meet once a month in the evening throughout the school year.  See the Career Exploration Program Calendar of Events 2016-2017 for a handy chart of information on each of the 25 career exploration programs. Details are also listed directly on the online application and there are informational flyers for each program. Applications and informational flyers can be found here: YCAL Mentoring Program.

This is a wonderful opportunity for high school students to gain knowledge about career options and learn to network with career professionals. Students can participate in one or more YCAL Career Exploration Program (there's no limit). The programs are designed for tenth, eleventh, and twelfth graders. Families must provide transportation.
Check them out!
